Many of you who know me are fully aware of my occupation aside from being a student, and so many of you have heard the bizzar stories that have come form the pet hospital. But some of the haps that occur here need to be shared with the world. For example tonight Doc is out of town and the other 4 people who live on the property are away as well. So lucky me, being the only trusted employee left in town, gets put on fire watch. What is fire watch you might ask? Well although it has been explained to me many times all I have gotten out of the story is that it involves unlocking the door for the firemen in case there is a fire (and some how this involves a cell phone). Personally I think doc feels better knowing that someone is on the property while she is away. It's amazing the small community that has been created here, there isn't a thing that any of us wouldn't do for Doc. There have been many times when I am tired, dirty, and all I wish to do is to go home, and Doc has asked a "small favor" that I, without thinking, always say yes, even if that means staying an extra hour doing whatever, and half the time I'm off the clock. We never ask for anything in return, we work for very little and we put in long hard hours and never will you hear one of us truly complain. So the question remains why do we stay? Doc has a wisdom that is seldom found in this day and age, her knowledge of animals and life amazes me every day and she has a generosity that compels you to come back and give more than you knew you could. You see, Doc is 84 years old and Monday thru Sunday she's here before you come in at 8am and doesn't leave until well after you do at 7pm. She will come in to check on critical cases at all and any hour of the night. If Doc can give this much then there is no reason we all can't. In that last 48 hours I have worked 24, and in fact am kind of working right now, and tomorrow I will work another 10 or 11 hours, come in on Christmas and all of next week, and at the end of each day I always ask "Is there anything else I can do?."

My favorite play is Les Miserables, I saw it London on by 20th birthday. The web site http://www.lesmis.com is for the same play I saw. I have the sound track and I have to say it is the most depressing and beautiful piece of music I have ever heard and I can’t stop listening to it.
Last night was my room mates birthday so I did what any friend would do I took her and our friends out and got them drunk. Jessica, my hot room mate, wanted very simple things this year. 1 to get very cute , check, 2 to get very drunk, check, 3 to shake what her mama gave her, check! I was the DD, designated driver, and I had a great time watching all my friends and my brother get stupid dumb drunk. Jessica seems to like the floor so I have many shots of her just lying around. Jason, my brother, sings like an opera singer when he gets drunk. Matt well if you thought he couldn't get redder. And lastly,Ben,if you thought Ben was weird before look at him drunk. All in all it was a good time partying till 2am, one question I have right now is, why at 9am am up?! Any way stay sassy!
